Ms. Skinner is a former Assistant Corporation Counsel with the City of Boston Law Department. During her tenure with the City of Boston, she successfully argued a case before the Supreme Judicial Court entitled Ali v. Boston, 441 Mass. 233 (2004), which dealt with application of the Recreational Use Statute to municipal landowners. Ms. Skinner also tried five jury trials in Suffolk Superior Court and achieved defense verdicts in each. Her caseload involved employment discrimination suits filed with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination; defamation cases; cases alleging negligence of municipal employees; a case alleging intentional interference with advantageous relations; and cases alleging road defects
