Ms. Horan focuses her practice in tort defense, especially products liability, premises liability, and professional liability claims. Prior to joining FP&A, Ms. Horan worked as a litigation associate for various Boston firms, representing plaintiffs, as well as defendants, in personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, commercial law, and employment discrimination cases. Ms. Horan earned a J.D. from Boston University with a concentration in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She also holds a M.S. in Ecology and Behavioral Biology and a Ph.D. in Philosophy, both from the University of Minnesota, and she is the recipient of fellowships from the National Science Foundation, the American Association of University Women, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Ms. Horan taught philosophy of science from 1985 through 1998 at schools that include Oberlin College, the California Institute of Technology, and Stanford University.
